Abstract:
In English and Russian works dedicated to discrete optimization problems, are isolated in nature. The basis of decision support systems are put particular methods of optimization. It is difficult to choose a proper method for the solution of choice task. We propose to consider the optimization methods in terms of utility functions. On the basis of criteria systematization is shown the possibility of interpreting the functions used in the methods of multi-criteria optimization as simple versions of the utility function. As a consequence, it is stated a higher degree of information on the preferences of the utility function over other functions used in optimization problems.
Keywords:optimization, classification, target criterion, constraint criterion, the criterion of predominance, the criterion of correspondence, a normalizing function, the function of the deviation from the target, the utility function.
