Some asymptotical results related to the Chauvenet test

The paper deals with some asymptotic problems posed in Bol'šev's paper [1]. The limit distributions of random variables of the type $\displaystyle\max_{1\le i\le n}\frac{X_i-\overline X}{s}$ are investigated.
