Acoustic instability of a nonisothermal plasma in a magnetic field

Abstract: The instability of acoustic oscillations is considered. It is shown that the instability growth rate and the structure of the developing inhomogeneities depend essentially on the ratio between the electron temperature and the temperature of the heavy component of the plasma.
