Abstract:
We present the experimental results on the influence of a non-uniform magnetic field on the processes of burning an air-propane mixture in a high-speed flow; the burning is initiated by a longitudinal-transverse DC discharge. From the experiments, it follows that by varying the value and the orientation of the magnetic-induction vector with respect to the direction of the discharge current we may be able to govern the process of burning an air–propane mixture in a high-speed flow.
