Abstract:
Based on the specific heat equations obtained earlier for crystalline $(298.15$–$3840$ K$)$ and liquid $(3840$–$5000$ K$)$ zirconium carbide with composition close to stoichiometric, we calculated the thermodynamic functions for $\rm ZrC_{0.95-0.99}$ at temperatures of $100$ to $5000$ K. Special attention is paid to the nature of the anomalous growth of the enthalpy and the specific heat of the crystalline $\mathrm{ZrC}_x$ at temperatures above $\sim2200$ K. The calculated thermodynamic functions are included in the IVTANTHERMO database.
