Abstract:
The article shows that the similarity laws in the region of a liquid and fluid for the line of the unit compressibility factor obtained earlier for substances with a constant composition are also applicable to such a substance as sulfur. In the vicinity of its critical point two- to three-atom clusters predominate, while in the vicinity of sulfure melting line, eight-atom clusters predominate. The liquid–gas binodal, constructed on the basis of these similarity laws, agrees well with the known experimental data.
