Equations of state for sapphire, silica, periclase, and rutile

Abstract: Equations of state for sapphire, silica, periclase, and rutile have been developed, which are applicable in a wide range of pressures and densities. The results of a comparison with available data obtained at high pressures in shock-wave experiments for crystalline and porous samples are presented.
