The field-trap effect in heat transfer under conditions of boiling of dielectric liquids in external electric fields

Abstract: An experimental study is made into the effect of nonuniform external electric fields on local heat transfer under conditions of boiling of liquid nitrogen. A significant increase in the heat-transfer coefficients is observed in field trap sites on heated surfaces.
