Abstract:
A procedure is suggested for the calculation of highly nonequilibrium flows of ternary mixtures, the collision cross sections and masses of whose components differ by orders of magnitude. The procedure is based on the direct numerical solution of the kinetic Boltzmann equation. This approach is used to investigate the problem of evaporation condensation during the motion of vapor in a gas-dust mixture in view of condensation on the surface of particles of relatively large size and mass. The particles are referred to as dust particles, although the suggested computational method may be also used when the region being investigated contains droplets or clusters.
