Barothermal effect in a gas-bearing stratum

Abstract: The method of small parameter is used to derive analytical solutions to nonlinear problems on the barothermal effect in gas-bearing strata. The obtained solutions are used to perform calculations of the time–space dependences of temperature. It is demonstrated that the magnitude of the effect depends considerably on the permeability of the porous medium and on the percolation rate.
