Abstract: A modification of experimental schemes which are based on the use of a generalized method of inversion and a method of total absorption is described in application to the investigation of nonuniform plasma objects. The effectiveness of these schemes is demonstrated for the example of a laminar boundary-layer plasma flow flowing longitudinally over a flat ceramic plate made of lanthanum chromite. The plasma is formed from combustion products to which $\rm Na$ and $\rm Li$ salts are admixed as an alkali additive. The distributions of the temperature and concentration of the alkali atoms in this layer are determined.
