State of a binary gas mixture near an evaporating surface during intensive evaporation

Abstract: A study is made of the state of a binary gas mixture near an evaporation surface. The Knudsen layer is regarded as a hydrodynamic discontinuity subject to mass, momentum, and energy balance conditions. The case of the incomplete accomodation of molecules colliding with the surface of the condensed phase is analyzed. Results are presented from calculations of the parameters at the boundary of the gasdynamic region.
