Thermodynamics of an electron fluid within the density functional method

Abstract: Equations are obtained for the entropy, energy, heat capacity, and pressure of an electron fluid at any temperature and density within the density functional method by direct differentiation of the expressions for the thermodynamic potential. The values of these equations in solving problems of theoretical calculationof thermodynamic functions of materials is discussed.
