Abstract:
Results are presented from an experimental study of several hydrodynamic parameters of gas-liquid flows in a horizontal pipe with and without external transverse vibrations. The test stand and experimental method are described. A method is proposed for calculating the drag coefficient for the annular flow regime in the presence of vibrations. The total pressure drop over a certain section is determined by the friction losses, which are related to the friction on the channel wall, the formation and acceleration of drops of liquid, wave generation, and flow of the gas phase over the wavy surface of the film formed in the channel.
