Abstract: The consequences of thermionic emissions from the surfaces of small metal particles present as a rarefied suspension in a dense electronegative gas are studied, including the attachment of electrons to neutral molecules, the presence of electron and ion currents on a particle and the electric charge formation of the latter. Calculations are carried out in the temperature range of $1000$$2000$ K, where the ionization of the host gas can be neglected. The attachment reaction is considered based on chemical kinetics equations. The distribution of electron and ion densities and their currents in the vicinity of the particle, as well as the shielding of the particle charge, are discussed. The subject is considered in a hydrodynamic approximation.
