Abstract:
An experimental investigation of the distribution of velocity and temperature in single-phase and two-phase plasma jets $($two-phase factor up to $4.4)$. Temperature and velocity of a gas is lowered appreciably by introducing the condensed phase into a plasma stream. Distribution of parameters in transverse sections of the main part of the jet is described satisfactorily by the appropriate Schlichting curves. Reynolds number characteristic of change of flow regime in an argon plasma stream at the nozzle exit were determined.
