Abstract:
Data are obtained for the first time on the presence of small axisymmetric disturbances which cause the instability of laminar stabilized flow of liquid with parabolic velocity profile in a round pipe. The problem is solved on the development of small axisymmetric disturbances over the entire pipe length. The region of instability of small disturbances and the critical Reynolds number are determined. The pattern of development of both longitudinal and transverse components of velocity of disturbances is analyzed.
