Abstract:
Elementary absorption processes in low-temperature uranium and potassium-uranium plasmas are examined. The spectral absorption coefficient in a wide frequency range is obtained by summation of the contributions made by different absorption mechanisms with due allowance for the concentration of the absorbing components. The devised method was used to calculate the optical properties of uranium and potassium-uranium plasmas for different pressures and temperatures.
