Abstract: A unit for measuring the electrical conductivity of the vapors of salts is described. The electrical conductivity of the saturated vapors of six halogens of sodium and potassium was measured in the presence of nitrogen at a temperature of $850^{\circ}$ C. The experimental data obtained are in quantitative agreement with the results of calculations on the determination of the concentration of ions in the saturated vapors of halogens of alkali metals, made on the basis of ionic models.
