Abstract:
Vapor-liquid injectors are considered as candidate accelerators for magnetohydrodynamic converters. The article gives the results of an experimental investigation of the mixing chamber of an injector with a liquid cone. It is found that the losses in the mixing chamber are affected by its length and very weakly by the angle of taper of its conical part. The article establishes the fact of the similarity of the dependence of the coefficient characterizing the losses on the length of the mixing chamber for a broad range of angles of taper of the chamber.
