Distribution of electron-energy losses in a gas-discharge plasma

A method for experimental determination of the distribution of electron energy losses in an air gas-discharge plasma is described and results are presented. The following quantities were measured: pressure in the forechamber and at the entrance and exit of the cylindrical section, difference in potentials in the cylindrical section, and the discharge current. The discharge spectrum was photographed directly behind the critical section.
