Abstract:
The values of all ten equilibrium constants of interaction between zirconia and oxygen of ambient medium and, accordingly, quantitative dependences of the number of crystal lattice defects on temperature and on partial oxygen pressure are found in view of the defect structure of $\text{ZrO}_{2 - x}$ suggested in [1] and of available experimental data on the nonstoichiometry $x$ and other properties of $\alpha$, $\beta$, and $\gamma$ modifications of $\text{ZrO}_{2 - x}$; the position of $x = 0$ boundaries is determined.
