Controlling the behavior of air tornados

Abstract: Video filming and photography are used to investigate the possibility of controlling the behavior of free concentrated vortexes generated under laboratory conditions over an underlying surface heated from below. The method of control consists in placing obstacles in the form of vertical or horizontal grids in the path of propagation of air vortex. Comparison is performed of the mechanisms and of the degrees of effect made by vertical and horizontal grids on the behavior of vortex structures.
