Abstract:
An accurate experimental investigation was made of the thermal expansion of $13$ samples of molybdenum having different chemical compositions and obtained by different methods. The investigations were made in three different units in the temperature range $100$–$2546^{\circ}$C. The results of the investigation showed that molybdenum has a stable temperature coefficient of linear expansion, depending only slightly on the technology of the preparation of the samples and the content of impurities.
