Abstract: Formalization is suggested of the problem of choosing the high-efficiency regime of innovation generation and diffusion processes in a post-industrial society with high level of knowledge networks based on social interactions and extensive and advanced use of modern interactive communication technologies. It is shown that original heterogeneity of knowledge and skills of agents in an innovation network may lead to the gap in educational ties among agents, so stratification of agents occurs by their level of knowledge. Stratification reduces the level of uncertainty when making decisions about innovations in the case then some agents act as mediators responsible for coordination of knowledge diffusion process.
