Identification of regional industrial clusters and estimation of their structural influence on regional economy (in case of the east-kazakhstan region)

Basic approaches to define the concept of “cluster” are considered along with the methods to identify clusters. The model of clusters formation is proposed. The model bases on national “Input-Output” tables at regional level. In case of the East Kazakhstan region the most perspective for regional economys development mining and smelting cluster is revealed. The estimation of structural influence of the basic segments of mining and smelting cluster on the economy of the East-Kazakhstan region is performed.
