Dislocation dragging by electrons in metals

Abstract: The paper presents a review of the results of experimental and theoretical study of the influence of conduction electrons on the mobility of dislocations in normal metals and superconductors. The influence of the superconducting transition on the macroscopic mechanical properties of metals connected with dislocation motion, namely, plasticity and sound absorption, are also discussed.
