Abstract:
The mixed state of type-II superconductors exhibits various types of instability (such as the dendrite instability, macroturbulence, chains of macroscopic flux droplets, and twister nucleation), resulting in macroscopic-scale spatial magnetic structures. Analysis reveals a certain analogy between remagnetization dynamics in superconductors and ferromagnets, thus allowing a deeper insight into the subject.
