Abstract: This review presents the-state-of-the-art in the field of strength, ductility, superplasticity and other mechanical properties of nanomaterials' based metals, alloys, intermetallics, semiconductors and high melting point compounds. The different theoretical approaches are described. The role of size effects and interfaces in the nanomaterial strength forming is analyzed in detail. Unresolved problems are pointed.
