Rotation of the plane of swing of Foucault's pendulum and the Thomas spin precession: two sides of one coin

Abstract: Expressions for the rotation angle of the Foucault pendulum plane of swing and the spin precession of a circularly orbiting relativistic particle (Thomas precession) are derived along similar lines using elementary geometrical arguments.
