Apparent superluminal separation velocities of the components of extragalactic objects

Abstract: Objects with active nuclei are reviewed. Their fine structure and its variation in time are considered. In a number of objects, velocities of the components exceeding the velocity of light are observed. Models that explain this phenomenon are discussed.
