Abstract: As the Russian Federation strives for technological independence, the educational system is expected to present a new, agile approach to learning to help each student unleash their potential and get the top value from learning. Adaptive learning is a way of customizing the learning path based on frequent assessment and automatic selection of the content and its level of complexity that the student should study to achieve the best academic performance available. Modern adaptive learning uses large amounts of student digital footprints. The authors applied simulation and system dynamics to analyze the adaptive learning implementation. The model defines a system of interrelated learning processes, data accumulation for adaptive learning support, adaptive technology validation, and dissemination. We also proposed architectural solutions for each stage of the system implementation. The solutions would accelerate the adoption of adaptive learning by building an educational environment consisting of local educational systems, unified external educational platforms, and instructors' educational platforms.

Keywords: adaptive technologies, digital learning footprint, implementation of adaptive technologies, simulation of the implementation process.
