Abstract: Atmospheric reanalyses are an important data source for the diagnosis and analysis of climate change. The reanalysis results are usually presented in the NetCDF format for the nodes of a latitude-longitude Gaussian grid with a variable latitude step, which complicates the direct work with the data for researchers and requires the use of special software tools. The purpose of this paper is to describe the software developed in MATLAB, which allows retrieving air temperature reanalysis data for the nearest point of the Gaussian grid using given geographic coordinates, to carry out their statistical processing, and to plot graphs. The developed software can be used for simulating annual fluctuations in air temperature.

Keywords: reanalysis, mathematical modeling, average daily air temperature, Gaussian grid, NetCDF, MATLAB.
