Abstract:
The paper presents simulation results of modeling the cylindrical milling with application of end-milling cutter. Evaluating of plastic deformation of a detail on various processing modes of details.
The static models of milling process were considered in 3D model based on the finite-element analysis. Modeling was created by using Ansys. As a tool, end-milling cutter with a diameter of 5 mm was selected from high-speed steel. The workpiece is a thin-walled detail made of aluminum D16.
Computational finish milling simulation results are used for determination of optimum mode for processing. The criterion is the maximum number of deformations values of a detail and cutting tool. The cutting models are used in a preparation process of developing control software for CNC-based mills. There is a table with cutting force dependence on cutting modes.
