Abstract:
In the paper different mechanisms of the amplification of polarization plain rotation and polarization azimuth stabilization are investigated and compared. Cases of reflection from the anisotropic half-space, the transition through the anisotropic plate and the reflection from such a plate are considered. Formulas for the amplification (and stabilization) factor as well as for maximal amplification and stabilization are obtained. The influence of the isotropic and anisotropic absorption on the amplification of polarization plain rotation is studied.
