Abstract:
A contact problem for a semi-plane with initial stresses strengthened by semi-infinite stiffener under the action of a concentrated force at the end of the stiffener is considered in this paper. By using of Fourier transformation the problem has been brought to the solution of the functional equation on the real axis. The factorization method gives the solution of this equation a closed form. The asymptotic expansion for the contact stresses near and far from the edges of the stiffener has been obtained.
