On the kinematic theory of X-ray scattering on account of weakening of the initial beam intensity due to reflection

The intensity of X-rays reflected from the mosaic crystals has been considered taking into account the weakening of the initial beam intensity due to reflection from each crystal. The formula, found for the integral intensity shows that the resulting expression in the case under consideration is similar to the one which is obtained when the secondary extinction is taken into account.
