Dimensions of polypeptide chains at helix-coil transition. Microscopical theory

In the boundaries of microscopic theory of helix-coil transitions an equation has been obtained describing the dependence of mean-square dimensions of the polypeptide chain on the degree of helicity. The dependence is of universal character for the given homopolypeptide.
