Abstract: In this article, we propose a mathematical model of the bone-tissue differentiation on the radiographs of a human hip joint obtained by X-ray computed tomography. We also describe a model of the changes in the reaction forces of the hip joint during walking and running and a model of the stress-deformed state of the joint in normal and pathological cases. The results of the calculations based on these mathematical models are presented.

Keywords: arthroplasty, biomechanics, hip joint, implant.
