Abstract: This article proposes an implementation of one of the possible rare mesh finite element schemes for solving three-dimensional static problems of the theory of elasticity. A characteristic feature of these schemes is that the elements cover the computational domain not in a continuous manner, but with regular intervals. A rare location of the calculated elements can significantly reduce the computational cost. The results of the numerical solution of the model problem are given and compared with the results obtained on the basis of the traditional schemes.

Keywords: rare mesh scheme, finite element method, mesh of elements, cell, variational equation, stiffness matrix, numerical implementation, model problem.
