Abstract:
In this article, we propose a method for determining the orientation of modern star catalogues relative to a dynamic coordinate system based on occultation observations. The reductions of occultations taking into account the corrections for the irregularities of the lunar marginal zone were performed using two maps (Watts and Kazan). This allowed us to obtain more precise values of the corrections for the irregularities of the marginal zone and to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of these maps. The method makes it possible to find the rotation parameters of the axes of the star catalogue, and the position of the reference coordinate axes within the accuracy of the coordinates of the catalogue under study.
