Abstract:
The variants of constitutive equation systems for shape memory alloys (SMAs) are considered. Different statements of boundary value problems of deformable solids mechanics for these materials (non-coupled, coupled, and twice-coupled problems; stability problems caused by phase and structural transitions; limit load problems in the framework of solid-phase structural analysis) are discussed. Some results of the analytical and numerical solutions of bending and twisting problems, analogs of the Lame problems for phase and structural transitions in a SMA tube, as well as stability problem for rods, plates, and shells made of SMAs are presented.
Keywords:shape memory alloys, constitutive equations, boundary value problems, limit loads.
