Calculation of the temperature field of a plate when electron-beam welding

Abstract: Numerical methods for solving of temperature field dynamics problem for electronic-beam welding are proposed. Stationary and non-stationary formulations of the problem are considered. In a FEM approximation, composite mesh with a local refinement around the weld seam is used. Numerical efficiency of constructed methods is analysed as well as the comparison of these methods with MSC.Marc solver is executed.
