Supercontinuum generator optimization.

Abstract: It was investigated possibility of supercontinuum generation in various media (e.g. water, glass, sapphire) for flash photolysis with nonsecond resolution. The best parameters of supercontinuum was achieved with propagating femtosecond laser pulses ($\lambda_{\max}=787$ nm, $\tau_{FWHM}=260$ fs, $J=18~\rm{\mu J}$) through water.
