Abstract:
Magnetooptical properties of bilayered heterostructure that consists of a metallic film perforated with periodic array of slits and magnetic dielectric layer are investigated. Such structures combine the advantages of plasmonic structures demonstrating extraordinary optical transmittance with magnetooptical effects of polarization transforming and light intensity modulating. All possible cases of magnetization orientation are considered. Resonant specifics in optical transmittance spectra caused by magnetization and in magnetooptical Faraday rotation spectra is explained in terms of quasi-waveguided modes' excitation in a magnetic layer.
