Abstract: In this article, we study an underwater circular cylinder in a steady-state ideal flow restricted from below taking into account gravity force and surface tension on the free boundary. We performed systematic calculations to determine the lift and wave drag coefficients as well as free surface shapes depending on the Froude number for different Weber numbers and circulation values.

Keywords: capillary-gravity waves, flow around a cylinder, restricted flow.
