Algorithm of optimization of heterogeneous wireless network by the criterium of balanced load of provider’s equipment

Media-independent handovers (MIHs) in heterogeneous wireless networks are crucial for convergence of different access technologies (WiFi, WiMAX, GSM, UMTS and GPRS). The algorithm of optimization of heterogeneous wireless network independent on the type of wireless access is proposed. The function of determination of access point or base station loading is used to select the network. The rules of handovers based on the algorithms of load balancing make it possible to optimize the utilization of radio resource.
