The analysis of possible approaches to the characteristic of universities office equipment stock

Main types of office equipment are listed. Possible approaches to the analysis based upon accounting quantities of units of office equipment, their cost, terms of operation, technical characteristics are considered. Advantages and disadvantages of these approaches, and features of their information support are described. The mathematical apparatus for the offered methods is presented in details. The classification of universities structural departments is proved from the point of view of the necessary PC configuration, peripheral equipment, and other kinds of office equipment. The typical stock structure of universities office equipment (including network, presentation and some other types of the equipment) is investigated due to the offered methods. Estimations of typical ratios between PC, peripheral equipment, and copiers are made.
