Abstract:
An algorithm for ranking teams of participants used in the process of team building in order to develop the architecture of decision support systems to improve the efficiency of selection of candidates for the team is developed. The algorithm includes three methods for the selection of candidates based on the use of the Pearson correlation coefficient and the Spearman rank correlation. During the experiment, the selection of IT-specialists into the service of customer support is carried. To estimate the candidate’s skills the competencies of the maximum efficiency model of the L. M. Spencer’s work are used. The data, used in this experiment, are the results of the estimation of 10 competences of 50 candidates. While developing the methods, such aspects as the competence of a team, a personal competence and positions of the participants in a team are con-sidered. Thus, current algorithm can suggest reducing the time of classification of competencies of candidates, but it will increase the time to research the requirements, processes and procedures for selecting candidates for each organization. The paper provides the basic concepts in this area, problems of the algorithm implementation and their solutions, presents the mathematical models of the calculation methods of the candidate’s competencies. The experimental researches of using the developed methods for the selection team based on the estimation of candidate’s competencies in different situations and circumstances are carried out. The proposed approach significantly extends the functionality of existing information HR-systems in recruitment. The obtained results provide the necessary basis for the practical implementation of the proposed methods in the decision support system and help improve the process of team building in IT-industry.
