Abstract: Currently, the main method of determining the discharge of oil and gas mixture is the separation process. However, the process response causes the problem of creating reliable and accurate devices for monitoring production of well flow rate by measuring of the discharge of the multiphase flow at the well site. The structural scheme of the device to control multiphase flow, us-ing acoustic-electric effect and consisting of two piezoelectric elements, two electrodes with the measurement system and the permanent magnet (or electric magnet) is presented. The apparatus comprises a part of standard oil pipe with the magnet fixed on its surface (fixed or variable), there are two piezoelectric elements on both sides of the magnet in the tube, electrodes are at a small dis-tance from the magnet. The multiphase flow of oil mixture goes through during the operation in the pipe. Piezoelectric element while hesitating generates ultrasonic acoustic waves. Ultrasonic vibrations cause the increase in the number of free electrons but the magnetic field, generating by the magnet, rejects them apart to the electrodes, where the change in the current or electromotive force is recorded. The results will characterize the medium properties, as well as their quantitative characteristics as a relative structure. During the research, it was stated that the device can be used in other possible cases such as while measuring in the pipeline; using different types of separation (complete two-phased gas/liquid separation; partial separation); while sampling from the pipeline; humid measuring the gas flow etc.

Keywords: multiphase flows, multiphase measurements, discharge, pipeline, automation, device, acoustic-magnet-electric effect.
